Dynamic Trends in the Non-ferrous Metal Industry in 2023

At the 2023 Conference on the Economic Operation of the Non-Ferrous Metal Industry, it was revealed that: In 2023, the non-ferrous metal industry focused on optimizing industrial structure, preventing and resolving risks, solidly promoting high-quality development, and the trend of stable improvement became increasingly evident.

The industrial value added of non-ferrous metal enterprises in 2023 increased by 7.4%, which was 2.8 percentage points higher than the growth rate of industrial value added of national-scale enterprises, showing a stable upward trend. The production of 10 kinds of non-ferrous metal products reached 746.98 million tons, an increase of 7.1% compared to the previous year when calculated on a comparable basis. Fixed asset investment in the non-ferrous metal industry completed in 2023 increased by 17.3% compared to the previous year, reaching the highest growth rate in nearly 10 years. Large-scale non-ferrous metal industrial enterprises achieved a total profit of 371.61 billion yuan, an increase of 23.2% compared to the previous year.

With strong support from national policies, the development of the recycled non-ferrous metal industry is steadily improving, continuously advancing technological progress and industrial upgrading, strengthening environmental governance and resource recycling, and making positive contributions to China's green transformation and development of the economy and society.
